Pattern

regexPY
https?:\/\/(?:www\.)?linkedin\.com\/in\/([\w\-]{3,100})\/?   (flags: g)

Python (re) code

pyPython
import re

pattern = re.compile(r"https?:\/\/(?:www\.)?linkedin\.com\/in\/([\w\-]{3,100})\/?")
input_text = "Find me at https://linkedin.com/in/satyanadella"
for m in pattern.finditer(input_text):
    print(m.group(0))

Stdlib `re` module — no third-party dependency. Works on Python 3.6+.

How the pattern works

https?:\/\/(?:www\.)?linkedin\.com\/in\/ matches the canonical profile URL prefix (with optional www). ([\w\-]{3,100}) captures the slug — letters, digits, underscores, and hyphens, 3–100 chars. \/? allows an optional trailing slash.
